THE PROBLEM

Teachers and other educators, including school staff have the potential to be resources for youth who experience multiple chronic risk factors.

THE INEFFECTIVE RECOVERY PLAN

Schools nationwide are not fully equipped nor are they trained to handle situations or provided the tools they need to protect the student body. When up against armed combatants who are at close range and using deadly force, teachers, staff and students are a major disadvantage.

The zero tolerance policy we find in schools- which can mandate automatic punishment for weapons, drugs, profanity and various forms of disruptive behavior, is failing to make students and parents feel safe. Zero tolerance is rife with with problems including too few security guards, under-qualified security guards, non-working metal detectors and administrators who show favoritism by placing inept personnel in roles of safety management.

We have school resource officers but they are limited and most likely not able to defend or resist against a shooter. How much more efficient can school safety become when the officer has the assurance that school personnel is equipped to assist him/her and successfully provide top of the line security measures in day to day situations as well as real emergency situations?

THE PURPOSE

Increasingly, schools are under attack by student shooters and other intruders who walk or drive onto school grounds and commit violent acts against the student body and staff members.

TO SAVE LIVES

Most parents believe their children are in a safe and supporting learning environment. However, the tragic and obvious aftermath to an active shooter event is both devastating and heartbreaking.  Schools victimized by a shooting event face major set backs in the wake of a violent event. The interruption the community is challenged to recover from, most of the time never fully recover.

C3S has developed a proactive approach to the problem to help save staff and student lives thus helping communities recover faster and more fully when violent acts against there community occur.

HAVE A PLAN

When there are threats such as an active shooter, which in and of itself is unbelievably overwhelming, even the more passive and peaceful people rise can rise to divert a catastrophe with proper training. For this reason, the best prevention is to educate and equip everyone with simple and logical response protocol to reach safety.

THE SOLUTION

Educators have a responsibility to monitor and maintain campus conditions that create a safe and secure school. Unfortunately, we cannot hire personnel that are fully trained.

IMPOWER TRAINING

In an emergency situation the first three minutes is the most crucial time to assess and minimize loss of life. Our school security guards are able to do their work effectively because they mostly deal with students who are compliant with authoritative figures.

However, in recent years more and more violence has erupted from within the 12-18 year old demographic. From assault and battery, to stabbings to shootings the violence has escalated and become more common place.

IMPOWER TRAINING is designed to show staff, administrators and students exactly what to do to help minimize damage an attacker can do (especially in the first three (3) minutes of the attack) utilizing hands on training, online training and state of the art technology which anyone who knows how to use a smart phone can utilize.
